Draft Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the application of exemption from customs duties and taxes when Importing Motor Vehicles with Electric Motors into the Customs Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union by any Means" (hereinafter – the draft resolution) was developed in accordance with item 9 of the List of Cases and Conditions for the importation of goods for personal use into the Customs Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union with exemption from customs duties and taxes, established by Decision No. 107 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission of December 20, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the EEC Decision), as well as in the implementation of paragraph 3.2 of the Protocol Meetings of the Interdepartmental Commission on Foreign Trade Policy and Participation in International Economic Organizations dated June 9, 2022 No. 85.

        The purpose of the adoption of the draft is to define a passenger customs declaration as a document containing information about a person importing motor vehicles with electric motors classified by the code 8703 80 000 2 TN of the EAEU FEA under Decision No. 107, the number of such goods imported by this person and their value, which will allow the import of such goods with exemption from payment customs duties and taxes.
